Google Documents

Google Documents is another free service included with Google Apps. By hosting your domain and email with Google, you will get access to Google Docs. This feature allows you to create word processing, spreadsheet, presentations and forms in a web-based, on-line set of folders. Google will allow you to upload any type of documents into your folders. Word, OpenOffice, rtf and text files are automatically converted.  The word processor has built-in spell checking and formatting features to meet most of your needs. And because the documents are stored on-line, you can share them with anyone at any email address. Every document has a revision history. So, any changes can be rolled back to a previous version. You can also email out your documents as attachments.

Google spreadsheets can import from xls, .csv, .txt and .ods formatted data.  And spreadsheets can be exported to .xls, .csv, .txt and .ods formatted data and PDF and HTML files. And, of course, all files are shareable with anyone with any email.  And you can edit the document on-line at the same time and see each others edits in real time.

A new and rapidly improving feature is the on-line Form documents. We use on on our website to help get feedback from our customers. Click here to see our Google Form. This form feeds data right into an on-line Google Docs spreadsheet. It makes gathering, sorting and analyzing data so easy.
